  • We will cover the following fundamentals in the four-week league
    • ￿ Base running (every week)
    • ￿ Daily catch routine for infielders, outfielders and pitchers (every week)
    • ￿ Team defense (every week)
    • ￿ Daily hitting routines and drills (every week)
    • ￿ Bullpens and pitching drills (every week)
  • One 10 inning coach pitch/machine game each week with the focus on teaching the game with lots of baseballs in play while also competing
  • Games will be fast paced and scripted each week to put players in many different situations that they may see throughout the course of a real game
  • By scripting the innings, it allows more opportunities for players to learn how to have success in those situations (we do this with our DMACC players weekly)
  • One inning will consist of an entire team going through their batting order
  • Each batter will get 4 pitches to move the baseball in fair territory. Failure to do so will result in an out

Scripted Innings

  • Innings one and two will be straight up baseball with bases getting cleared after 3 outs
  • Innings three and four each at bat will start with a runner on second and no outs
  • Innings five and six each at bat will start with runners on first and second and no outs
  • Innings seven and eight each at bat will start with runners on first and third and one out
  • Innings nine and ten each at bat will start with the bases loaded and one out
Games will not have traditional scoring
  • 1 point for situational hitting (one example would be hitting a ground ball to second mbase in innings three or four to advance the runner to 3B while making an out would still result in a point even though the base runner didn’t score)
  • 1 point for each run scored
  •  If the games end in a tie we will decide the tie breaker with a bunt off

Once registration is completed we will put teams together based on positions

  • If you have a special request we will do our best to accommodate you but can’t guarantee that we will be able to put your kid on a certain team as we have to make sure we have enough players for each position for each game
  • Our number one focus is on helping each player get better each week while having a ton of fun doing it
  • Each player will get a DMACC game shirt the first weekend
